Sierra Supply Co. is a small workshop in San Francisco, born in and named for the Sierra Nevada. We make things we want to own — wallets, belts, key straps — and we keep adding to that list as our skills and shop grow. Everything in the store meets one standard: we'd carry it ourselves.

Our Standards

Like a print, every piece is numbered and dated — a record of when it was made and what it's made of.

The materials are chosen to age well. Vegetable-tanned leather darkens and softens with use. Shell cordovan is dense, rare, and nearly indestructible. Cordura and brass take daily abuse without complaint. They improve, they develop character, they outlast trends.

We're particular about what goes into the work. We've met with tool and hardware makers in Japan, sourced leather from the best American tanneries, and brought in Italian shell cordovan where the quality demanded it. We work with producers and vendors we trust, and we've built relationships with the makers and brands we admire. Most of what we use is American made, reaching for Japanese and Italian materials where they're unmatched.

Sean and Manuel

Sean started making leather goods in 2012 — gifts at first, then a small run in a friend's shop, then years of quietly refining designs and technique. Sierra Supply Co. takes its name, and its whole sensibility, from the mountains where it started and where Sean and Manuel met. That landscape still drives the work: durable, useful goods made to be used and to last.

Manuel joined the bench after they moved to San Francisco, and the two have sharpened the process together — cleaner, more consistent, more refined with every piece. Sean designs and cuts every pattern. Manuel hand-stitches and finishes the leather, and runs the machine work for the canvas, Cordura, and denim pieces. Everything is drawn and cut in-house, and finished side by side.
